Dear sister or brother in Christ,

All my life I have felt like an odd duck within the church.

I first prayed "the prayer" when I was 6. 

I went to church with my family every Sunday. 

I was the kid at Sunday school who every teacher loved, because I was quiet, polite, and knew all the answers. 

But everything changed when I listened to a sermon on YouTube at age 13. 

In that moment something awakened in me. 

It felt like scales were falling from my eyes. 

I felt a burning hunger for more God... more prayer... more closeness... suddenly appear in my depths.

At that point, 

my life

my family's lives

my friend's lives

all suddenly seemed so... shallow. So empty. As if they were barely even shadows, of the life we were REALLY meant to be living. I looked around me, and it suddenly seemed like we were all playing games with our lives, and missing out on some far more beautiful, far more dangerous, far more 'everything we've ever wanted' life... somewhere out there, in the deep end of reality... 

The Life You've Seen In Dreams And Visions

After my moment of awakening at age 13...

... I realized I wasn't the only one. 

... I realized that many Christians have "seen" another possible life... another world...

In dreams and visions...

...a life of gushing joy, spiritual power, freedom from all worry and bitterness and anxiety... a life like the apostles lived in Acts, where God's healing power rushed through them like an unstoppable river into a dry and thirsty world... a life where everything you do, is a part of some mysterious and wonderful purpose as old as time and as large as the universe... 

But after years of talking with all these other Christians I realized that?

Most Christians Have It Backwards

They think that what they long for, and feel called by God to do... is to accomplish some great feat "out there" in the world, like:

➡ Start a nonprofit

➡ Start a revival

➡ Make a million dollars and give it all away

➡ "Make an impact" for the Kingdom

And while these works may indeed be things God calls you to do, in good time... 

they are NOT the "heart" of what God is calling you into - or of what you really, really want. Rather, they are the fruit of what you really, really want.

So what do you really, really want, in the depths of your heart? 

Something that has been hiding under your nose for your whole life.

It has several names: 

"Heaven on earth"
"Praying without ceasing"
"Abiding"
"Living from the Kingdom of God"

... and it is a state of being. Where during every minute of every day... you carry with you this burning, wonderful, conscious sense that God is with you. And so everywhere you go, and during everything you do... you are praying. Listening to the Holy Spirit. Interceding for others. Reciting scripture passages to yourself. Feeling waves of God's peace constantly roll through your body. 

Worry and anxiety slide off your back like water off a duck. Your prayers move mountains, but this never surprises you. You accomplish much more than the "average" person... but somehow you always seem to be rested and at ease. Joy is constantly springing up from your depths... 

Ok, but how do you get to this special "state of being" where you are praying without ceasing? 

THAT is the central question I answer in all my "PrayMore" emails - but I'm getting ahead of myself.

How I Found Heaven On Earth

Ever since high school I have been obsessed with this question: 

HOW. 

In very concrete, very practical terms...

... can any woman, and any man, regardless of what job or role or physical condition they are in...

...  take steps towards a life of minute-by-minute prayer - and keep on stepping in that direction until they find heaven on earth - and live their entire lives from that place?

In high school and college I made several unsuccessful attempts to pray every minute of the day.

I remember during one of them I set the timer on my phone to go off every 5 minutes. And BOY did that get old fast, hah.

Within a few days the timer was just a nuisance - and within a few weeks I had burnt out and given up on my attempt to pray every minute. Yet again. 

In 2021 I began a fresh attempt... but this time, something amazing happened.

Something in my depths 'clicked into place' - and unlike previous attempts, this time I became more and more successful with each passing week. Praying more, and more, and more. 

For my whole life I had been praying to some degree.

And sometimes with great consistency and for long stretches of time. 

But I have never experienced anything like what happened in my prayer life this past year.

To this day Psalms and prayers come drifting into my thoughts, like a breeze through an open window. My whole life is beginning to feel like one, long prayer... though I admit I cannot fully explain what I mean by that... even now as I write these words, I am consistently pausing and asking for guidance...

... and every passing day, "heaven on earth" is becoming less of a dream for me, and more my daily reality.

And the best part of all? 

Everything I have done... is something every Christian can do. Which leads me to the point of this page...

Shouldn't the Word of God always be free?
